RANDOLPH COUNTY

by Mrs. George Rittenhouse

(Nina Edwards, Lynn, IN, Class of 1953)

Bean fields are greener there

And straighter there

Corn rows are neater there

Hay smells sweeter there

Randolph County is my home

The sun shines brighter there

Skies are bluer there

Moonlights beyond compare

Randolph County is my home

Kites fly higher there

Baseballs go farther there

Randolph County is my home

Ice cream is colder there

Hot dogs are hotter there

Aunt Pauline's cakes known everywhere

Randolph County is my home

Anchor Hocking makes glass there

Wick's pies are baked with care

Even McDonalds have a share

Of Randolph County soil

Randolph County!  Randolph County!

Your soil runs through my hands

Randolph County!  Randolph  County!

I belong to your land

I'm at home on your land
